Choose the default variant of an upsell product

An upsell card can now start on the variant that fits the cart. For example, a rule for shoppers with the blue t-shirt in the cart can offer the socks in blue.

What's new

• Default variant: the upsell card starts on the variant that you choose, with its price. Shoppers can still choose another variant.
• Sold-out variants: if the variant that you chose is sold out, the card starts on the first variant that is in stock.

This works for products that you add to a rule, not for collections.

How to enable it

Cart admin → an upsell rule → "Select default variant" on a product → pick a variant.
