AI Assistants & Kaching MCP

Kaching MCP lets an AI assistant you choose (for example Claude by Anthropic or ChatGPT by OpenAI) read your Kaching app data and, for Kaching Bundles, create and edit deals on your behalf. A live deal changes only after you confirm the change in the assistant. Kaching MCP cannot change your theme, products, orders or subscriptions.

You connect it per store by signing in to your Shopify admin and approving the connection on a Kaching page that names the store and the apps it covers.

The assistant can request the store data the Kaching apps already hold, such as deals, cart and popup settings, post-purchase offers, subscription contracts and the analytics of each app, and the Shopify data you authorized when you installed the app. Each request is answered for the store you connected, and only while the connection is valid. A connection lasts until you revoke it, or at most 90 days, after which you connect again.

• The connection record: the store, the assistant and the permissions it was given, kept until you revoke it or it expires.
• A log of the requests the assistant makes: the tool used, the store, the assistant, the time and technical error details. We use it for support and product analytics, and we process it in Mixpanel.

We do not store the content of your conversations with an assistant connected through Kaching MCP. The assistant provider may store them under its own policy.

The assistant provider you connect (for example Anthropic or OpenAI) receives the questions you ask and the data Kaching returns, and handles them under its own privacy policy and your agreement with it. Kaching has no control over how a provider you chose uses that data. We recommend reading the provider’s policy before connecting a store.

The Kaching apps include an assistant that answers questions about your store and, in Kaching Bundles, helps you create and edit deals. When you use it:

• Your messages and the store data needed to answer them are sent to Anthropic’s Claude models through OpenRouter, a model routing service, under their own terms.
• Your conversations are kept for 30 days so you can return to them, then deleted.
• Conversations may be reviewed by Kaching to improve the assistant’s answers. Traces of them are processed in LangSmith for quality monitoring and kept there for a limited time, separately from the 30 days above.
• The same request log as for Kaching MCP applies.

To stop an assistant connected through Kaching MCP, remove the Kaching connector in the assistant, or disconnect it in the Kaching app. Uninstalling the last Kaching app from a store ends every connection for that store. The built-in assistant sends nothing until you write to it.
